May 3 - Day 1 - Sunday
Fly to Launceston - Welcome Dinner
Welcome to your Tasmanian journey where education, adventure and fun awaits.
After your flight into Tasmania's second largest city, Launceston, travel to the Hotel Grand Chancellor to check in. Your
hotel is located in the heart of the city so you can explore the city at your leisure before meeting up with the group for your
welcome dinner.

May 4 - Day 2 - Monday
Berry Farm - Stanley - Smithton
This morning, we drive through fertile farmland. We stop at Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm to discover the story behind
Tasmania’s successful berry industry and enjoy a farm-fresh lunch.
From here, the road travels along the North West Coast to the charming coastal village of Stanley. Wander through the
historic streets, then glide skyward on the chairlift to The Nut, a striking volcanic plug offering panoramic views of Bass
Strait.
The day concludes in the agricultural town of Smithton at Tall Timbers Hotel, where you’ll settle in for the next 2 nights
surrounded by the rich heritage of Tasmania’s timber and farming industry.

May 5 - Day 3 - Tuesday
Woolnorth Farm - Marrawah - Smithton
The morning begins with a rare opportunity to explore Woolnorth, a property that combines dairy farming on Australia's
largest dairy farm with renewable energy projects. This is all set against the dramatic coastal scenery of Cape Grim,
globally renowned for having some of the cleanest air on earth.
After your guided tour, enjoy a hearty pub lunch at the famous Marrawah Inn (own expense). From here, step into the
world of Wagyu beef farming, learning about genetics, animal care, and the global demand for premium beef.
To finish the day, you will tour a dairy farm with a difference at the Duck River Robotic Dairy and La Cantara Artisan
Cheese Factory.

May 6 - Day 4 - Wednesday
Table Cape - Penguin - Forth - Cradle Mountain
Traveling along the rugged northwest coast, arrive at Table Cape, famous for its fertile soils and vibrant flower farms. At
Flowerdale, see how horticulture and flower growing thrives in Tasmania’s cool climate.
Continue along the coast to the quaint and quirky seaside town of Penguin. Enjoy a stop to taking the obligatory photo with
the giant penguin before venturing into the Dial Range to visit Mt Gnomon Farm. Learn how humble pig farming has now
turned into an inspirational and diversified agritourism business.
The afternoon will highlight large-scale agribusiness at Harvest Moon in the Forth Valley, where vegetable processing
reveals the scale and sophistication of Tasmania’s food supply chain.
We then travel through dramatic mountain ranges and wild button-grass plains on our way to the heart of Tasmania’s World
Heritage listed wilderness, the iconic Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park.
Your accommodation tonight is at Cradle Mountain Hotel.

May 7 - Day 5 - Thursday
Cradle Mountain - Sheffield - Leathercraft - Anvers Chocolate - Devonport
Todays is yours to be immersed in the natural beauty of Cradle Mountain National Park. Choose from a variety of walks
where you can really experience how unique this world heritage area is. Keep an eye out for the wildlife, especially the
friendly wombats!
Later in the day travel to Sheffield, the “Town of Murals,” where art and community spirit are painted across every wall. You
will then have the chance to meet Simon Martin at his unique whips & leathercraft workshop and retail outlet. See how
world-class leather goods are created, learn the fine art of whip cracking and make a leather keepsake.
The final destination for the day is a sweet stop at Anvers Chocolate Factory before arriving in the city of Devonport and
your accommodation for the next 2 nights, the Novotel.

May 8 - Day 6 - Friday
Agfest
Today you will travel to Quercus Park at Carrick and spend the day fully immersed in Australia's globally recognised
agricultural field day Agfest.
This premier agricultural event brings together more than 700 exhibitors, offering a vibrant showcase of innovation,
technology, and the future of farming. Whether you're searching for cutting-edge machinery, a new vehicle, or simply want
to explore the latest products and innovations, Agfest is your destination. For those with a passion for history, the Heritage
Display provides a fascinating journey through the evolution of agriculture and rural life. Enjoy the Livestock Handler
Competitions, Equine Arena, Discover Dairy Expo, Canine Displays, Dog Highjump, Animal Nursery and Caravan and
Camping Expo.
Additionally, there are Craft Pavilions, home to some of Tasmania’s finest handmade goods and artisan creations and a
large array of food areas, where local producers serve up a delicious array of fresh, regional Tasmanian fare.
After your action-packed day, travel back to your Devonport accommodation for dinner and a recharge.

May 9 - Day 7 - Saturday
Ashgrove Dairy - Agfest - Launceston
This morning bid farewell to Devonport and travel back to Agfest for your second day of agricultural immersion. On the way
visit Ashgrove Dairy Door. This awardโwinning visitor centre invites you to step inside the world of artisan cheesemaking
and learn the story of the Bennett family and Ashgrove’s paddockโtoโplate philosophy, while the lush pastures outside are
home to the famously “happy cows” that make this dairy possible.
After today's Agfest adventure travel to Launceston and stay at the Best Western Plus in the heart of the city for the next 2
nights. Dinner tonight will be at a local restaurant.

May 10 - Day 8 - Sunday
Cataract Gorge - Seahorse Farming - Vineyard - Brewery
Our first visit for the day is the magnificent Cataract Gorge, with its cliff-side gardens, peacocks, pools, suspension foot
bridge and one of the longest single span chairlifts in the world (ride is optional and own expense).
Next, travel to Seahorse World, a working seahorse farm to experience a different type of farming. This fascinating
experience takes you behind the scenes and introduces you to the magical world of these captivating creatures.
Lunch will be at a local Tamar Valley vineyard. Enjoy a delicious vineyard platter and locally produced cool climate wines
with picturesque views of the Tamar Valley.
Later this afternoon step into the heart of Tasmania’s brewing heritage with an exclusive visit to the iconic James Boag’s
Brewery. Discover the secrets behind one of Australia’s most celebrated beers as you explore the historic brewery with a
knowledgeable guide followed by a premium beer tasting.
Your farewell dinner tonight will be at an iconic Launceston pub where you can share stories about your holiday in Tassie
with newfound friends.
